Sue Adams

Sue is an artist currently based in Waikiki, Western Australia. My works in oils seeks to capture the intricate beauty and vivid colours of Australian birds and everchanging beach and coastal scenes. Each brushstroke is an homage to the moments of tranquillity and the serene joy that nature offers, moments that are both fleeting and timeless. My artistic journey is one of rediscovery and immersion, allowing me to delve deeply into each composition, creating not just a painting, but an experience. I strive to evoke a strong sense of space and presence, inviting the viewer to step into the scene and momentarily escape the confines of the everyday. Through careful attention to detail and a vibrant palette, I aim to capture the essence of these enchanting birds and our coastal environment, offering viewers a portal into a world imbued with wonder and peace but sometimes chaos. Participation in numerous group exhibitions has allowed me to share my work with a broader audience, fostering a connection between people and the natural world. It is my hope that through my paintings, others may find a moment of relaxation and a renewed appreciation for the beauty that surrounds us. Each piece is a celebration of nature’s artistry, an invitation to pause, reflect, and immerse oneself in the splendour of Australian wildlife and coastal scenes.
Sue’s work can now be found at The Artisan Store in Fremantle in private collections around Australia and across the world and Sue is happy to be contacted for Commissions.
