Spouting Whale Pottery

My journey with clay began through ceramic courses back in university where I discovered a deep appreciation for the calming and meditative process of working with clay. I became actively involved in the local ceramics community where I focused on wheel-thrown functional forms, such as mugs and bowls. I taught intermediate to advanced-level students for four years, and during this time, my work was exhibited at both a local art center and museum of art.
In January 2026, I relocated to Perth and joined Studio P in Mount Hawthorn where I continue to develop my skills and style as well as teach introductory wheel-throwing classes.
I am particularly drawn to floral and nature-inspired decorations, and I enjoy exploring underglaze as a way to introduce colour and surface detail. I am excited to reach new audiences here in WA and share work that connects with people in their everyday lives.
