Celebrating Local: Grill’d’s Local Matters and the Artisan Store Fremantle

We’re thrilled to share some wonderful news – The Artisan Store Fremantle has just received a donation from Grill’d Fremantle’s Local Matters initiative!

Local Matters is Grill’d’s way of giving back to the community. Each month, the Fremantle restaurant selects three local groups or small businesses to feature in‑store. Customers receive a token with every burger purchase and vote for the cause they’d like Grill’d to support. At the end of the month, Grill’d donates funds based on those votes – a simple, generous idea that helps grassroots organisations thrive.

For us, this support means more than just a cheque. It’s a recognition of what we stand for: artists supporting artists, locals supporting local. Every dollar goes toward promoting Western Australian makers – from jewellers and ceramicists to painters and textile artists – and keeping creativity alive in our local community.

We’re deeply grateful to Grill’d Fremantle and everyone who popped in for a burger and placed their token in our jar. Your vote helps us continue to showcase WA artistry, nurture emerging talent, and keep handmade craftsmanship at the heart of Fremantle.
