Kenshō (見性) is a Zen Buddhist term used to describe seeing ones own original nature. Ken means “seeing”, shō means “nature or essence. Practicing Zen in Kinosaka Onsen JapanThe practice requires dedication to meditation and mindfulness and can take many years to attain, sometimes it doesn’t happen at all but the effects are deep and profound regardless of whether one experiences Kensho or not.
