Terracotta: Asi Signature Slouch Beanie (12 ply – large) by Asi.
Knitted in the round (which results in no seam up the back of the hat) from Australian wool, this is one of my favourite beanies. There is something about the lines created by the ladders and cable stitches that really tickles my fancy, and makes this one of my most popular slouchy hats, for men and women.
I find this style of beanie so flattering on so many face and head shapes. For best slouchy effect, I say rough up the back on the hat with your fingertips, as if you are washing your hair.
This snug beanie differs from the large version in that it is shorter, so suits smaller heads, or someone looking for an easier step into the world of slouchy hats.
The brims on my beanies are done with a twisted rib, making them stretchy yet firm, and aren’t designed to be folded up.
Care: The yarn is 12 ply luxury yarn (from Bendigo Woollen Mills, an Australian owned and run company which sources its wool from the NSW Highlands) and can be washed in the machine on a warm, short, gentle cycle. However, for added longevity, I always recommend a warm hand-wash.
