Branches of Boranup – A3 Archival Photographic Fine Art Print by Julie Kenny Photography.
Window mounted, mat board size 40 x 50 cm.
The rusty dirt road disappears through the Karri trees as the setting sun highlights the forest canopy. Boranup Karri Forest is unique for its proximity to the coast. This is the furthest west that the tall pale-barked karri trees grow. Karris can reach 60 metres or more in height and cover the hilly slopes and valleys of the forest.
I choose to have my images printed on archival Fine Art Smooth Pearl 270 GSM paper. I really like the heavier weight paper. When you look at the surface of this stock it is slightly textured, a little finer than water colour paper. Being ‘pearl’ paper in the right light and angle you can see its slight shimmer. This is not always visible once it is in a frame.
