Meet Harold, a portrait of someone.
This large painting has seven or eight transparent oil glazes which give the luminous background that contrasts with the solidness of Harold and the tarnished pure silver tiles.
Spray paint, pure silver leaf, oil & charcoal.
130 x 120 cm
I am a visual artist who combines traditional mediums and methods with exciting modern paint technology’s to produce visually rich canvases.
Born in Zimbabwe, I studied Interior Design at the Regent Academy in London and recently returned to Perth after eight years working as a full time artist in Bahrain. While in the Middle East I had the opportunity to study art with the Imam (yes, we had a chaperone) Fareed Bu Qees and also exhibited at the National Museum. Being a big fish in a little pond had its advantages and now I’m a mere minnow in the ocean of Australian Artists.
