Succulent Rings by Belinda Stewart.
Fine and Sterling Silver and enamel
Each piece is produced in a one-off sand casting.
Colour is applied by fusing enamel (coloured glass) powder to the metal at high temperatures.
For succulent enthusiasts who aren’t afraid of a chunky piece of jewellery, this ring is cast in sand from an aeonium succulent-leaf floret and is a one-off piece. The succulent leaves were pressed into sand in a flask, removed and then the void filled with molten silver. It has a nice weight to it. Succulents have long been appreciated for their resilience and strength, so this ring could be used to remind its wearer that they’ve successfully come out the other side of a difficult time in their life. Or it might just say ‘I like succulents’.
