Silver Cuttlefish Ring cast by Boyd Parry.
This stunning organic ring has been cast in cuttlebone, the abandoned shell of the cuttlefish. Cuttlebone is quite brittle and can be carved quite easily, it can also withstand very high temperatures, which makes it perfect for a mould to pour silver into.
The rings vary in size, thickness and width due to the organic nature of the unique moulds they are created from. No two rings will ever be the same! The shape and style of the ring band can vary, ranging from sleek and minimalistic to more elaborate and textured designs, depending on the carving dir9ection in the cuttlebone.
