Return Surf Ring by Eitan Friedman.
When you watch the surf ebb and flow onto the beach it is interesting to watch the bands of different coloured sands suspended in the surf, plus the colour differences made by the aerating bubbles in the water. They shift and flow in an almost hypnotic way. This movement, specifically, the return flow of the surf as it recedes from the beach, has inspired this ring, aptly called, “Return Surf”.
There is 5.5 gm of Sterling Silver in the ring, plus a copper band, and it has been forged rather than cast, using a technique from the earliest days of jewellery making. It results in an organic, obviously handcrafted ring, of varying dimensions. The silver band is 2 mm in depth, except for the forge point, where it is 3 mm. The band varies from 10 mm at the widest point, to 6 mm at the narrowest.
The ring is size R.
