Lampwork Beads, or Flamework Beads are made by using a flametorch to heat a mandrel or rod of glass, then applying the molten glass around the rod. The mandrel is held in the flame of the torch and the molten glass is shaped by rolling and twisting the rod. MaryAnne’s designs are inspired by the glass itself and the events and surroundings in her life .
