Handcrafted Picture Jasper & Kyanite Sterling Silver Pendant, by Quirky Black Dog.
Formed in extremely ancient volcanic ash beds dating back to the Upper Cretaceous period, around 100 million years ago, this Picture Jasper cabochon features beautiful patterning reminiscent of a natural landscape. A petite cornflower blue Kyanite finishes off this piece, which is wrapped in handwoven Sterling Silver wire work. This pendant measures approximately 6cm long and 3cm wide. The Sterling Silver ball chain measures approximately 50cm, as well as an additional extension chain of 3″.
Quirky Black Dog creations in copper are made from raw materials which age or patina with wear & use. No treatments have been added to these pendants to prevent this continued natural oxidising process. To clean your Quirky Black Dog creation, lightly and gently clean the wirework (without squashing it between your fingers) with a jewellery polishing cloth. Over time and with cleaning, the patina will stay in the cracks and crevices of the wire work whilst the ‘cleanable’ areas will stay bright, giving an aged/antique look to the piece.
