Handmade Porcelain Desktop 11 Circuit Chartres Labyrinth by Belen Berganza.
Approx 10-11 cm diameter.
This Labyrinth is hand made with porcelain and glazed to give a very soft experience as you trace along the path.
The design depicts a shorter version of the Chartres Labyrinth.
Chartres Cathedral labyrinth, dates back to 1205, when monks used it for contemplative moments.
it sharpens concentration, stimulates creativity and heightens intuition. Labyrinths have long been used as meditation and prayer tools.
Wind the stick along the labyrinth’s path to relieve stress, reduce anxiety and enhance mental alertness.
A labyrinth is an archetype with which we can have a direct experience. We can walk it. It is a metaphor for life’s journey.
Unlike a maze, which has several different pathways, a labyrinth has only a single path and are no dead ends. The entrance is the exit too.
Start by quieting your mind and opening your heart.
There are three parts to a whole experience. The entrance can be a place to stop, reflect, make prayer or intention for the spiritual walk you are about to take. The walk around the design to the centre can be a ‘letting go’- a quieting of the thoughts, worries, lists of tasks to do, a letting go into the experience of being present in the moment. Arrival at the centre – a place of prayer/meditation – ‘letting in’ when ready, the walk out ‘letting out’ takes us back into our lives, empowered by spirit to transform our lives and actions. In many ways, we see the labyrinth a as a call to action. a transformation spiritual tool.
It can aid healing, help in releasing grief, help guide through troubled times, aid indecision making, illuminate our purpose in life, and act as a tool of celebration and thanks.
It is important to recognize it as a spiritual practice, not a magical tool.
Its work is our commitment to enter into the sacred spiritual walk, not merely once, but to use it as part of an ongoing spiritual practice.
Sacred Geometry
Sacred Geometry is the basic fundamental building block of our Universe, based on mathematics and form. From the farthest reaches of the cosmos to the atomic structure of a single cell within the body, the same laws of form and mathematics apply. These displays of mathematical and geometric constants are confirmation that certain proportions are woven into the very fabric of nature. Recognizing the significance of this simple fact offers us the means to understand how and why such matters were considered sacred. They and everything around us, are the product of the delicate balance between chaos and order.
