I use leather and wood to make beautiful wearable art, gifts and homewares. I am inspired by the natural world, built environments and use colours as I see them. I like quirky things that are unusual and fun such as my wooden bow ties.
I make tiny streetscapes from wood as useful items such as key racks and card holders. I’m a keen wood turner still perfecting mastery of this process.
I make gumleaf shaped leather jewellery and book marks which I paint using textile acrylic paints.
I use waste leather from the upholstery industry and waste wood from furniture makers, because I believe in sustainable practices whenever possible. I like the idea of making beautiful things from materials that may otherwise be discarded.
I work in my home studio/ workshop and have been making art for many years. Having recently relocated to WA I’m just starting to work with Western Australian materials.
I have enjoyed many practices including wood turning, sewing and sculpture.
