Kath Moore

I have always wanted to draw and paint and it was good to do it at John Curtin High School with Henry Froudist as our teacher.
After that I was trained as a teacher and worked mainly in English as a Second Language for 35 years – drawing all the time.
Drawing is valuable when English is not understood!
Upon retirement about seven years ago I enrolled at Claremont School of Art and started from the beginning.
In time I was painting in oils and learning to paint portraits. Last year I went to Florence, Italy, to the Angel School of Art – to a Summer
School. This marked a new development in my portrait painting.
However, my love for flowers is always there and I am stimulated by what is in bloom along the river in North Fremantle and on Rottnest.
I enjoy painting flowers from life on to linen tea towels and cushions.
