Hi, I’m John Dawson, the self-taught wood turner behind JAD Creations. What started as a hobby and it has grown into my passion and livelihood. I love working with wood because each piece tells its own story through its grain, texture, and quirks. My goal is to bring out that natural beauty while crafting something functional and unique.

I primarily work with local Western Australian woods and a few select European species, focusing on sustainability. Whether it’s a sleek modern bowl, a rustic chopping board, or a decorative sculpture, every piece is handcrafted with care and attention to detail.
At JAD Creations, I also offer custom commissions, laser engraving, and restoration services. If you have a special vision or an old wooden piece that needs new life, I’d love to help bring it to life.
