I studied Design at Curtin University, formerly WAIT, and commenced my working life as a self-employed photographer and graphic designer. I moved into the advertising industry and worked for many years in advertising as a Graphic Artist and Studio Manager. I am now able to commit full time to my art practice with studio space at The Naval Store in Fremantle. Primarily working with acrylics on stretched canvases, I am working on depicting elements such as the motion of a breaking wave and strong sea breezes, and then combining with the solid infrastructure of suburbia. My pen drawings allow me to sketch with a true freedom, presenting the image to the viewer as a familiar representation rather then a detailed depiction. This technique gives the drawing a unique personal feel.
