Erle & Mark Dutton

Based in Perth’s northern suburbs, Erle and Mark Dutton are a father and son duo who share a love for all things wood. Erle, the more experienced craftsman, has spent years honing his skills and passing down his knowledge. Mark, originally a banker by profession, caught the woodworking bug in late 2015 while on long service leave. After spending time in the workshop with Erle, what began as a hobby quickly turned into a shared passion.

Together, they create a range of handcrafted pieces with a focus on turned wood items like bowls, vases, pens, and more. Their work features locally sourced Western Australian hardwoods such as Jarrah, Marri, Banksia, and Sheoak. When available, they also work with rarer species like Mulga and Red Morrel.

Mark has recently taken their craft a step further by experimenting with resins, blending them with striking burls and Mallee roots to create bold, one-of-a-kind pieces. From small mementos to larger statement items like lamps and vases, every creation is made with care, skill, and a genuine love for the materials.

If you’re after a unique, handmade gift or keepsake that celebrates WA’s natural beauty, be sure to check out their work in store.
