Annette has aspired to create Art most of her life. The ‘Arty One’ in a large family. She attended Balcatta SHS in the Gifted and Talented Visual Art program and later attended Teachers College in Mount Lawley majoring in Visual Art. After many years of teaching and travelling, Annette has finally had the time to really develop her Art into a more serious pursuit. She works mainly in 2D Acrylics and 3D Ceramic pieces. The hallmark of her work is bold use of colour and experimentation with layered painted and printed papers to create painted collage compositions. Another area of her practice is printmaking–hand tinted and Chine Colle’. The majority of her work is creating bold colourful ceramic pieces in a variety of styles created with many ceramic techniques including slip casting, composite building and slab work.
