Ceramics is my first love – I love to see what I can make clay do! I create my own unique composite and free form clay pieces which I then hand paint with underglazes and other glaze mediums. I have created a few series of works based on the work of artists Joan Miro and Clarice Cliff, inspired by the 1920’s era and bright colours. The table ware pieces bring colour and Art to the home in a unique and affordable way. Every day I am blessed to be able to create ideas that I dream about and bring those dreams into reality with my home based studio. My work as an Art teacher in WA has given me opportunities to explore many other media and techniques and I tend to jump from one medium to another quite readily. I could be lino printing in the morning and then creating painted papers for a collage canvas work in the evening. Eclectic would be my adjective, but I never get bored! You will always know it is my work though as I always sign with my distinctive ABA logo.
